TouchDeveloop is a web based programming language developed by Microsoft Research that runs in a browser. TouchDevelop is an instructional language that makes building mobile games accessible to new programmers, runs in a browser on any device (including phones), and makes it easy to publish and share games and apps. Nearpod is the next big thing when it comes to using technology effectively for student engagement in classrooms. It provides students the opportunity to really engage with the teaching and not be passive observers. Interaction is built into lessons and feedback can be received in real time to drive instruction in the moment.

Their philosophy is to make telling your story simple, beautiful, and fun! We will show you how to use this fantastic tool for creating and publishing student writing and presentations. We will be focusing on different writing genres including poetry, opinion writing, informational, 6 word stories, vocabulary practice, and more. We will also focus on how this can be used for content integration. This tool would be appropriate for teachers grades K-12 in all subject areas.
