Using Nearpod to Elicit Full Class Participation with Technology!
Nearpod is the next big thing when it comes to using technology effectively for student engagement in classrooms. It provides students the opportunity to really engage with the teaching and not be passive observers. Interaction is built into lessons and feedback can be received in real time to drive instruction in the moment.

Are you ready to increase student learning and engagement in writing? Then Haiku Deck is for you! Haiku Deck is a free presentation tool available on the web and as an app for iOS devices. Their philosophy is to make telling your story simple, beautiful, and fun! We will show you how to use this fantastic tool for creating and publishing student writing and presentations. We will be focusing on different writing genres including poetry, opinion writing, informational, 6 word stories, vocabulary practice, and more. We will also focus on how this can be used for content integration. This tool would be appropriate for teachers grades K-12 in all subject areas.
